I started working on this project somewhere at the end of the 2021 - begging of 2022. Yeah I know, kinda been a while. It's my first game so I had to spend quite a lot of time learning the basics but also game development takes really long, and honestly, that's good

What is exactly Zakon for me?

For me it's a game to explore one idea that has been on my mind since the begging 2022 - we must follow the orders, right?

With how interactive the media of video games is, it's a perfect playground to try to explore this idea.

With this project I want to explore one specific topic - how much a person can go against their morals just to comply with orders, even when it's against our morale codex. The current war in Ukraine deeply affected me with, among other things, how incredibly difficult it seems to do not follow the orders even if you've never wanted any of it. Just imagining receiving the orders of killing other people in a war terrifies me, and in a way Zakon confronts these moral questions without anybody dying in real life. Even beyond that, what seems to be a normal job at some military complex, now will directly have an effect on the death of other people. How much can a person endure fighting their inner voice? I hope that I can ask this question correctly and listen to how the player answers it with their actions.
